Kowhai Tui Childcare is a one of a kind centre in the heart of Rototuna. We are the most established centre in the area and are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town life. We are run 100% by a Charitable Trust where the child is at the core of everything we do. Kowhai Tui Childcare follows the principles of Rudolf Steiner and allows us to deliver an unhurried approach to childhood in an environment that is homely, abundant in nature, safe and warm.

Kowhai Whare is our original homestead where our younger children reside for their days with us. We nurture and protect the physical, emotional, social and spiritual nature of each child, which allows them to unfold at their own pace in a healthy way.

Tui Whare is for our over 3 year olds and operates as an extended hour’s kindergarten. The children are provided with meaningful play experiences in an environment imbued with love and warmth.
